We at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, based on the university's strategy and its scientific and academic mission, strive to harness efforts and allocate all capabilities to develop the educational process, improve performance, reach out to students, listen to their suggestions and matters related to their affairs and the educational process, and provide them with appropriate service efficiently and effectively, making student service our first and foremost goal, as well as the accreditation of the Faculty.
Your dreams have become a tangible reality, and so has the Faculty of Science, whose dream is to embrace you – the scientists of the future – for how could it not be, when you are the ones who contribute to building this generous nation, who contribute to its unity, security, progress, and advancement, so that we reach what the developed world has achieved in terms of progress and prosperity.

Graduate studies and scientific research are indeed the engines for the advancement of this nation and its future. They represent the only way to meet the society’s demands and solve its problems by harnessing the collective efforts of scientists, equipping them with the tools of knowledge, responsibility, and diligent work.
I would also like to highlight that graduate studies and scientific research are among the core pillars that elevate the college, and in turn, the university and society, due to their noble goal of enhancing the intellectual and scientific levels of graduate students. The college is keen to offer its various programs in accordance with both local and international academic accreditation and quality assurance standards.
Therefore, the true and serious start of graduate studies and scientific research reflects the reciprocal relationships between scientific research, higher education, and state institutions. Success in one is closely tied to achieving success in the other.
Hence, I urge you to stay updated with the latest developments in your fields of specialization and to continually seek knowledge, so that this will lead to progress and prosperity for all of us.
I am pleased to welcome all graduate students to our college, and I ask Almighty God, the Lord of the Throne, to bless everyone who has contributed or will contribute to the development of graduate studies at both the college and university levels. May He reward all their efforts and place the good deeds they offer in their balance of good deeds. He is the Hearer and Answerer of prayers, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.
Finally, I pray for your success and prosperity in your studies and your academic and professional lives. May peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

My dear students, may you be well every year, and I wish you success and prosperity. I hope this young faculty continues to progress and flourish and occupies a prominent place among its peers in our prestigious universities. This goal can only be achieved through the effort and dedication of my esteemed colleagues, the faculty members, and the regularity of my dear students in their lectures, and their determination to acquire scientific material from various sources so that they are equipped with useful knowledge that enables them to achieve their goals in life and carry the banner of scientific progress on the precious land of Egypt and Helwan University in general, and the Faculty of Science in particular, does not spare its students in providing all student services through the legitimate channels of student organizations represented in the student union.
I urge my dear students to actively participate in student activities so that the university can play its leading role alongside the scientific role.
Finally, I pray to God for your success in your studies and in your academic and professional lives. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

There is a clear vision and mission for community service and environmental development affairs for community engagement, where excellence lies in continuous communication with the internal and external community to provide ideas and solutions that contribute to achieving development and growing self-resources through special units and continuous cooperation with community organizations and civil society bodies.
With the increasing interest in environmental issues and their protection, and the state's concern for preserving what surrounds us from dangers, attention has been directed towards its preservation through participation and awareness. The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs sector is concerned with drawing up the general policy and preparing the necessary plans to preserve and develop the environment, in addition to studying the needs of the college community and the surrounding community for awareness and technical support, and following up on them in coordination with the competent authorities. This indicates the importance of this vital sector, and therefore the organizational structure of the college includes an agency for community service and environmental development affairs.

With the spread of the concept of total quality in higher education and the amazing and rapid development in modern technological fields, the concept of community service and environmental development has become a fundamental pillar of the college's vision and mission. It has become necessary for the Faculty of Science - Helwan University to play an important educational, research, and service role that serves the surrounding community in order to strive for environmental development. Our faculty, along with many faculties at our prestigious university, has been a pioneer in this regard, as it has been interested in awareness campaigns for many issues of concern to society through integrated or specialized service convoys, through training programs, the Department of Planning and Environmental Development, and assistance in raising the efficiency and developing the performance of workers in various bodies, companies, and entities, whether in the public or private sector, in line with social, technological, and economic changes, and conducting workshops and educational seminars to raise environmental awareness among different segments of society.
Community engagement is one of the important pillars of the college's institutional capacity, as it is considered one of the most important axes through which the college can serve the internal community within the university and also extend these services outside the university walls so that the academic community merges into the surrounding civil society.
From this standpoint, the college works to achieve the highest rates of genuine community participation by offering study programs capable of producing graduates that society needs and seeks, and this can only be achieved with the participation of beneficiary entities in identifying the skills required by the labor market; thus, the programs offered are modified and improved through community participation.
The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs sector at the college undertakes many activities and tasks, which are:
Organizing scientific conferences, seminars, and lectures aimed at serving the community and environmental development.
Establishing departments for special units that provide services to non-students.
Preparing and implementing programs to train community members on the latest modern scientific methods.
Developing a plan and mechanism to achieve the link between the college, the labor market, and graduates through many activities.
Achieving the link between the college and industrial companies and bodies.
This sector aims to solve community and environmental problems by accurately identifying the real requirements of society and making them the distinguished and successful starting point for community service.
God grants success.
