Introduction to Bioinformatics:

Bioinformatics is the use of information technology in the field of molecular biology. It involves the creation and development of databases, algorithms, and statistical and computational methods to solve problems arising from the management and analysis of biological data. Therefore, it is considered a branch of integrated technical sciences that requires the combined efforts of researchers from various fields such as biological sciences, computer science, information systems, mathematics, pharmacy, and medicine.


Vision of the Bioinformatics Center:

To be a multidisciplinary research and training center, distinguished locally and internationally, that enhances the institutional capacity of the Faculty of Science, Helwan University.
