Chemistry Program
- Program Mission: The department seeks to provide students with high-quality academic education to prepare highly competent graduates who, upon graduation, can meet the demands of the job market or enroll in postgraduate programs. It also aims to compete and actively contribute to the development of scientific research and utilize it to serve society.
- Program Objectives:
- Teach general and specialized courses in chemistry branches to students of the Faculty of Science, especially, and students from various faculties at the university.
- Develop and enhance students' skills to address problems using a scientific approach based on principles of inquiry, analysis, and deriving objective solutions to presented problems.
- Develop a spirit of scientific research among students and encourage innovations.
- Prepare scientifically qualified cadres to meet the needs of the job market.
- Encourage scientific research and make it a departmental priority, and prepare qualified graduates to pursue postgraduate studies.
- Support the development programs and plans adopted by the state to contribute to solving scientific and industrial problems it faces, and establish an integrated scientific system for conducting scientific research within the framework of joint cooperation between the department and its counterparts locally and internationally.
