The Immunology Laboratory was established in 2012 within the Department of Zoology and Entomology, funded by the Science and Technology Development Fund through a research project submitted by Dr. Suad Nady Ibrahim Hamed, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology and Entomology. The laboratory is equipped with the latest cell culture devices; the university provided the infrastructure, and the equipment was purchased through the project funding under the supervision of Dr. Suad Nady.
The laboratory serves students and researchers in the Department of Zoology as well as other departments related to cell culture, such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics. To date, the laboratory has contributed to the preparation of five master's theses and two doctoral dissertations for teaching assistants and researchers in these departments.
