New achievement for geology students, Faculty of Science, Helwan University, as they win first places in the ISP Industry Simulation Program competition of the Society of Petroleum Engineers - Egypt Section (SPE), which took place from February 9 to 24, 2025, and was hosted by ENPPI. This was held under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, after a competition with 120 male and female students from 12 Egyptian universities.

    The program is a distinguished training experience that combined practical application and theoretical knowledge, and used advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, which contributed to enhancing the participants' abilities to face the challenges of the petroleum industry.

    Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed the closing ceremony of the Industry Simulation Program organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers - Egypt Section (SPE) for a group of university students, which was hosted by ENPPI.
    This event comes within the framework of the petroleum sector companies' commitment to their social role, as social responsibility initiatives are an integral part of the work strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. Engineer Tarek El Molla's participation in the closing ceremony reflected the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' interest in young cadres, the desire to provide them with the necessary scientific knowledge, and the keenness to exchange experiences and support development and innovation, and to consolidate the culture of energy awareness.

    In his speech, Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, reviewed the six basic pillars of the Ministry's work strategy, explaining to the young trainees how to benefit from them and employ them in developing their experiences and how to be effective contributors to their implementation. The Minister expressed his happiness and pride in what he saw of the winning teams' presentations and the new ideas they presented that are based on science and teamwork, expressing his belief that these young people are the driving force towards a bright future and a human energy that will shape the future.

    He pointed out that there is already significant development in the field of technology, but without human competencies, no successes can be achieved, and that each individual represents an important element in the petroleum and mineral resources sector system, whether at the management, implementation, or development level. El Molla thanked the Society and its members for their role in transferring experiences, which contributes to supporting these pillars.

    He also urged university youth to engage in all development initiatives and projects, and stressed the importance of the youth's role in bringing about positive change, as they possess the energy and new ideas that can open new horizons for development. El Molla also praised the great attention paid to occupational safety and health and operational efficiency, as they represent the two most important elements for achieving a safe and stable work environment, noting that true success is based on teamwork and integration between teams, and that what he witnessed of the spirit of cooperation and integration among them is a wonderful thing and confirms that the policies we adopt are based on sound foundations.
