العلوم الأساسية هي أساس كل منظومة جادة لسياسات التعليم والبحث العلمي، لذا تم إنشاء كلية العلوم بجامعة حلوان لتكون مركزاً للعلوم الأساسية بالجامعة .

كلية العلوم جامعة حلوان مؤسسة تعليمية حكومية انشئت بقرار جمهورى عام 1980، وبدأت الدراسة بها في عام 1983 في أقسام “الرياضيات” و”الفيزياء” و”الكيمياء”، بينما بدأت الدراسة في أقسام “النبات والميكروبيولوجي” و”علم الحيوان والحشرات” و”الجيولوجيا” في عام 1996. تطمح كلية العلوم جامعة حلوان إلى الريادة في تقديم خدمات تعليمية وبحثية متميزة ومتطورة في مجالات العلوم الأساسية والتطبيقية وإنتاج وإستثمارالمعرفة. وتعمل على إعداد خريج متميز قادرعلى المنافسة في سوق العمل من خلال برامج أكاديمية متخصصة ومتطورة ذات منظومة ذكية في مجال التعليم والتعلم والبحث العلمي و تساهم بشكل فاعل في خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة محلياً وإقليمياً. تقدم كلية العلوم 18 برامج أكاديميا للبكالوريوس، نظام الدراسة بالكلية هو نظام الساعات المعتمدة، وتمنح جامعة حلوان بناءاَ على طلب مجلس كلية العلوم درجة البكالوريوس فى العلوم فى أحد التخصصات بعـد دراسة واجتياز الطالب بنجاح لعدد 138 ساعة معتمدة. وتقدم أيضا أكثر من 70 برنامج أكاديميا للدراسات العليا مابين 13 برنامج للدبلوم و 29 برنامجا الماجستير و29 برنامجا للدكتوراه فى التخصصات المختلفة. تقدم ايضا كلية العلوم عدد من البرامج النوعية بمصروفات مثل برنامج التكنولوجية الحيوية الجزيئية للبكالوريوس والماجستير وبرنامج ماجستير الفيزياء الطبية التطبيقية وبرنامج دبلومة تحاليل الكيمياء الحيوية ودبلومة الميكروبيولوجى التطبيقية. واخيرا تم استحداث برامج نوعية بمصروفات تحت الاعتماد مثل برنامج للبكالوريوس فى الذكاء الاصطناعى وعلوم البيانات وبرنامج الدبلوم فى الادلة الجنائية وبرنامج الدبلوم المهنى فى التحاليل. وتضم كلية العلوم نخبة متميزة من أساتذة وعلماء مؤهلين من جامعات عالمية في أوربا و الولايات المتحدة واليابان وكذلك عدد من المعيدين والمدرسين المساعدون وفنيو المختبرات. وتحتوى كلية العلوم على مراكز نوعية متخصصة مثل مركز مراقبة الطقس الفضائى ومركز الاستشعار عن بعد ومركز لللاستشارات الجيولوجية ومركز للطاقات العليا وايضا تحتوى على معامل ابحاث متميزة لخدمة طلبة الدراسات العليا وأعضاء هيئة التدريس.

Summary of the Faculty of Science

Basic sciences are the basis of every serious system of education and scientific research policies, so the Faculty of Science at Helwan University was established to be a center for basic sciences at the university.
The Faculty of Science, Helwan University, is a governmental educational institution established by a presidential decree in 1980. Studies began in 1983 in the departments of “mathematics”, “physics” and “chemistry”, while studies began in the departments of “botany and microbiology”, “zoology and insects” and “ Geology” in 1996. The Faculty of Science, Helwan University aspires to be a leader in providing distinguished and advanced educational and research services in the fields of basic and applied sciences, production, and investment of knowledge. It works to prepare distinguished graduates who are able to compete in the labor market through specialized and advanced academic programs with a smart system in the field of teaching, learning, and scientific research, which contribute effectively to community service and environmental development locally and regionally. The Faculty of Science offers 18 bachelor’s academic programs. The college’s study system is the credit hour system. Helwan University grants, at the request of the Council of the Faculty of Science, a bachelor’s degree in science in one of the disciplines after studying and passing the student successfully for 138 credit hours. It also offers more than 70 academic programs for postgraduate studies, including 13 diploma programs, 29 master’s programs, and 29 doctoral programs in various disciplines. The Faculty of Science also offers a number of qualitative programs with tuition fees, such as the Molecular Biotechnology Program for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, the Master Program in Applied Medical Physics, the Diploma in Biochemistry Analysis, and the Applied Microbiology Diploma. Finally, qualitative programs have been developed with expenses under accreditation, such as a bachelor’s program in artificial intelligence and data science, a diploma program in forensic evidence, and a professional diploma program in analysis. The College of Science includes a distinguished group of qualified professors and scientists from international universities in Europe, the United States, and Japan, as well as a number of teaching assistants, assistant teachers, and laboratory technicians. The Faculty of Science contains specialized qualitative centers such as the Space Weather Observation Center, the Remote Sensing Center, the Geological Consulting Center, and the Higher Energy Center. It also contains distinguished research laboratories to serve postgraduate students and faculty members.
