Career objectives

I am keen to develop my career in science to feed my passion for knowledge. I am interested in understanding the effect of various environmental cues on Plant molecular levels and how it reflects on the growth and development. Recently, I have pay attention to molecular identification and genetic characterization of various plant species and how it affects their biodiversity.

Recent qualifications and work Experience

From 2014-now: Lecturer, Botany and Microbiology Department, Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Egypt

From 2015-2018: General quality assurance coordinator for Botany and Microbiology department

From 2009-2014: PhD in Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biological Science, Leeds University, United Kingdom. Followed by a year as postdoctoral researcher

From 2003-2007: M.Sc in Cytology and Genetics, Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Egypt

Skills and Academic Awards and activities

I gained skills and experience in various Laboratory techniques include such as Gene expression analysis, epigenetics, tissue culture, luciferase assay, light Microscopy, southern blotting, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, plant nuclei staining, analysis of chromosomal abnormalities in plants. This is in addition to many advanced molecular techniques. I am expert in many software programs and dealing with many databases such as Clone Manager, Gel Documentation System, luciferase imaging, in-silico gene analysis, epigenetic analysis, NCBI, eFP.
